My name is Davies Vanpool, I came to FBC Langley in August of 2013. All I can say is, it is a truly wonderful church! We strive to be a place where all Christians can come and experience the Lord.
I believe every believer in Jesus should continually practice four hallmarks of the faith: Prayer, Praise, God’s Word, and the Fellowship of the believers. The Lord invites us to have a conversation with Him every day! Psalms teaches us that God inhabits the praise of His people! I believe God’s word is true without any mixture of error! Proverbs and Hebrews encourage us to sharpen one another and not to forsake the fellowship!
A little about myself. I have been married to my awesome wife Julie for 35 years. We have 4 boys: Grant and his wife Sydney and their two boys, Trevor and his wife Savannah and their daughter, Zach and his wife Hannah and their son, and Peyton. For those of you into academics, I hold a Bachelors in Sociology from Oklahoma State University, as well as, a Master’s in Religion from Midwestern Baptist Theological Seminary. I am also the State / Senior Army Chaplain for the Oklahoma Army National Guard. I have deployed 3 times to the Middle East including: Desert Storm, Operation Enduring Freedom, and Operation Spartan Shield. I love Jesus with all my heart and I just want to serve him!
